Aboitiz Foundation treats scholars to a fellowship
February 7, 2011Aboitiz Foundation treated its college scholars to a fellowship through the first-ever Scholars’ Forum last Dec. 20, 2010. The forum featured an inspirational talk from Aboitiz Foundation Trustee Romy Ronquillo, who openly shared to the 19 young scholars his wide-ranging experiences that led him to where he is now. As he said, “The decisions you make today will be the ones you will live in the future. I am the result of my choices yesterday”. He specifically pointed out the importance of espousing the right attitude in whatever one does, stating that “attitude is all it takes to succeed.” He also inspired the scholars to dream and “dream big.”

On December 17, 2009, representatives of barangays whose children were beneficiaries of the 5th Aboitiz Annual Outreach were each presented with a framed picture of the kids taken during the event. The frames are now on display in their respective barangay halls. AEV and Aboitiz Foundation scholars were also each presented with a letter of commendation for their unselfish acts of volunteerism, going out of their way to help and make 260 kids happy.
Potable water for Liloan upland barangay
January 21, 2010Potable water for Liloan upland barangay. Mulao, an upland barangay in the Municipality of Liloan in Cebu, will soon have potable water that will benefit 150 waterless and poor households. Aboitiz Foundation is funding the project in partnership with the local government unit of Liloan, Cebu.
