Metaphil International inaugurates 540-million peso facility

The much-awaited inauguration of the new fabrication and outloading facility of Metaphil International, Inc., finally came true on October 18, 2008.  The 540-million peso facility stands proud in Arpili in Balamban Special Economic Zone, Cebu.

FBMA Marine – Project 1024- Betico II - Launch

Against strong international competition, FBMA Marine of Cebu Philippines was awarded the contract by the ferry operator, Sudiles in New Caledonia.  The contract is to build a specialized 57m high speed car and passenger rough water catamaran connecting Noumea to the Isle of Pines and the Loyalty Islands .FBMA project 1024 ,named Betico II (pronounced be-ti-CHU which means “Floating Island” in the local language), will replace a 9 year old high speed vessel built in Australia that has not performed as expected and needs immediate replacement.

Metaphil International registered as PEZA enterprise

Metaphil International, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Aboitiz Construction Group, Inc, recently signed a Registration Agreement with the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA), making the company officially registered as an ecozone export enterprise.  Metaphil President and Chief Operating Officer Napoleon Pe and PEZA Director General Atty. Lilia de Lima signed the agreement at the PEZA head office in Manila.

Metaphil donates bridge to Balamban barangay

Metaphil, a division of the Aboitiz Construction Group, Inc., has donated a 680-thousand girder bridge to Barangay Buanoy in Balamban. The bridge provides easy access to residents who want to reach the proposed public market site.  Before the bridge donation, some 10,000 residents had to pass through the creek to reach the other side.

METAPHIL BREAKS GROUND FOR WORLD-CLASS MODULAR FABRICATION YARD IN BALAMBAN

Metaphil started history as it broke ground for a 500 million peso modular fabrication yard in Balamban, Cebu on May 31 in Arpili, Balamban.  The 6.5 hectare  yard is intended to build fabricated modules for clients all over the world.  Fabrication sheds, blasting and maintenance structures and pier facility will soon rise in the area.
