Aboitiz Transport System (ATS) sale finalized
December 29, 2010The sale of the respective shareholdings of Aboitiz Equity Ventures, Inc. (AEV) and Aboitiz and Company, Inc. (ACO) in Aboitiz Transport System Corporation (ATS) to Negros Navigation Co., Inc. (NENACO) was finalized December 28 after the closing conditions for the sale were met. The purchase price was PhP1.8813 per share.
ATS champions environmental protection
September 16, 2010High on the list of Aboitiz Transport System’s (ATS) advocacies is environmental protection as manifested by the company’s long-running tree-planting program. The program is in direct response to the growing threat of global warming caused by the release of greenhouse gases. It specifically aims to offset some of these harmful gas emissions.
Aboitiz Transport System 2nd quarter ending
August 5, 2010Aboitiz Transport System (ATS) operated with very limited capacity for the first half of the year since most of its SuperFerry vessels and freighters were on regular maintenance and drydocking. Consequently, its local freight and passage business has seen an overall reduction in its financial performance.

Aboitiz donates P11.5 million for Typhoon Ondoy victims
September 30, 2009The Aboitiz Group of Companies and Aboitiz family members have collectively pledged a donation of P11.5 million for relief assistance to victims of Typhoon Ondoy. This is aside from the free transport via SuperFerry of donated goods from the public and other institutions in its various ports of call in the Visayas and Mindanao.

As part of its regular business initiatives, 2GO submitted proposals to several bidders participating in Comelec’s Automation of the May 10 Synchronized National and Local Elections (Automation Project), including Smartmatic/TIM, for their nationwide logistics requirement. The extent of the Aboitiz Group’s involvement in the Comelec’s Automation Project, including its relationship with Smartmatic/TIM, is solely that of a cargo delivery contractor.
Abojeb mans ‘Best Quality Ship’ in Japan
June 23, 2009 The M/V Albany Pioneer, which is being manned by a full-Filipino crew provided by Aboitiz Jebsen (Abojeb), was recently named the Best Quality Ship 2008, a prestigious award given by the Japan Federation of Pilots’ Association. The formal awarding ceremonies were held last June 16 in Japan.
