Aboitiz Foundation, Inc., the social development arm of the Aboitiz Group, extended microfinance loans worth Php28 million in 2012 to various cooperatives in Cebu, Benguet and Davao, allowing more than 1,200 individuals to benefit from sustainable livelihood projects that were implemented in these areas.
Aboitiz Foundation and Therma Mobile, a subsidiary of Aboitiz Power, turned over new set of armchairs to two of the most populous public elementary schools in Navotas City last Dec. 18, 2012.
Students in four public schools in Cebu are now able to have hands-on laboratory experience in research and experimentation following the turnover of science laboratories and equipment to public schools.

Pedro Agustines Jr., President-TFCI Mr. Hitoshi Kono, MSWD Representative Mrs. Lucina Milan, Municipal V-Mayor of Balamban Ms. Rosie Binghay, and Municipal Mayor of Balamban Hon. Mayor Ace Stefan V. Binghay. Also present were parents and teachers of Buanoy Day Care Center.
Four Cebu-based cooperatives have shown that through hard work and cooperation, attaining success in an endeavor is possible.
