Thursday, March 15, 2012

These scholars were graduates of the course - plumbing national certificate (NC) II.
The graduates are the pioneering batch of scholars who availed themselves of the partnership between the Foundation and Tesda. Of the 93, a total of 82 scholars passed the national assessment exam for their respective courses and are now considered duly certified.
The following are the courses that were taken up by the scholars: plumbing national certificate (NC) II, refrigeration & air conditioning servicing (RAC) NC I, automotive servicing NC I, building wiring installation NC II, and computer hardware servicing NC II.
“We recognize the need to equip these students with these skills for them to become more competent in the future,” said Sonny Carpio, executive vice-president/managing trustee of Aboitiz Foundation.
The project was established to help the increasing number of students who are unable to proceed to college due to financial difficulties and help them build a brighter future after graduating from Tesda.
