Aboitiz Foundation, Inc., and Sweet Alert Society, Inc., signed a Memorandum of Agreement recently at the Aboitiz Corporate Center in Banilad, Cebu City last September 16, 2008, for joint outreach activities which aims to create awareness, early detection and prevention of diabetes mellitus in barangays Yati, Liloan; Cabancalan, Mandaue City and Kasambagan, Cebu City. The signing was attended by Augusto Carpio, managing director of Aboitiz Foundation, Inc., Danilo Cerence, supervising project officer of Aboitiz Foundation, Inc., Armi Lopez Garcia, Sweet Alert Society, Inc. president; and Dr. Marian Kyamko Denopol, diabetes specialist of the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center. Witnessing the signing of the MOA were members of the Sweet Alert Society,  Inc., - Liza Young, Patricia Perez, Emily Anne Neri and Jocelyn Lim.
