Austal awards major contract to Metaphil

Austal, a global prime contractor based in Australia, awarded a contract worth approximately 240 million pesos to Aboitiz Construction Group, Inc (Metaphil). Scope of work includes expansion and upgrade of shipyard facilities and refurbishment of a building located in Arpili, Balamban, west of Cebu and managed by Cebu Industrial Park Development Inc. (CIPDI). Project started end of November 2011 and will be completed by October 2012.

Metaphil International, Inc. has been recommended by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) to be issued the prestigious ASME Certification, a requirement being sought by international companies especially those based in Europe.
Metaphil International inaugurates 540-million peso facility

The much-awaited inauguration of the new fabrication and outloading facility of Metaphil International, Inc., finally came true on October 18, 2008. The 540-million peso facility stands proud in Arpili in Balamban Special Economic Zone, Cebu.
FBMA Marine - Project 1024- Betico II - Launch

Against strong international competition, FBMA Marine of Cebu Philippines was awarded the contract by the ferry operator, Sudiles in New Caledonia. The contract is to build a specialized 57m high speed car and passenger rough water catamaran connecting Noumea to the Isle of Pines and the Loyalty Islands .FBMA project 1024 ,named Betico II (pronounced be-ti-CHU which means “Floating Island” in the local language), will replace a 9 year old high speed vessel built in Australia that has not performed as expected and needs immediate replacement.
